Success Story

After waiting more than 2 months at the Sacramento SPCA, 8-year-old Kima finally found her forever family. The Rottweiler mix had initially been surrendered to the shelter due to her owner moving into a rental which did not allow pets.

The following is a message from her new forever family.

"Thank you SPCA family for loving our sweet new pup while we searched for the perfect fur baby for our family. It was an emotional moment for me personally to see the love that all of you have for Kima and the rest of the animals there at the shelter. Your team and volunteers are a class act. The best experience I have ever had. The shelter was amazing, the process felt thorough and well organized and I’m still floored that it didn’t smell like a shelter,” shared Kima’s new mom.  “We are blessed to have found Kima and promise to love her the best way we can. I'm positive she will get more love than she will know what to do with.”
